If you purchased a home in 2023 or if you refinanced or changed anything on your deed then you must refile the Homestead. If you are unable to do this online then it must be done tomorrow in your county assessor's office to count for the next installment of taxes to be paid in May 2024. There is NO longer a mortgage exemption but the Homestead has been increased 'for everyone' by $3000 making the Homestead exemption worth $48,000 so it is a valuable savings.
